MILWAUKEE, WI — On Monday, August 26, voting rights activists involved with the #FireBob campaign in Wisconsin will gather the signatures needed to petition Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu to rescind Commissioner Bob Spindell’s appointment to the Wisconsin Election Commission (WEC) due to his track record of undermining voters and elections. His alleged involvement in attempting to impersonate an elector and subsequent outcomes demonstrate that voters cannot trust him to support and ensure fair and secure elections in the state as a WEC commissioner, especially ahead of the election in November of this year.
The event will feature music, entertainment, and a press conference. During the conference, speakers will discuss why Wisconsinites must act now to implement measures that not only hold bad actors like Mr. Spindell accountable, but also prevent future threats to our democracy.
