PHOENIX – In response to Governor Hobbs vetoing House Bill 2703, All Voting is Local Action State Director Alex Gulotta released the following statement:
“House Bill 2703 was bad for voters, and today, we can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Governor Hobbs has chosen voters over politics. Pro-voter solutions to meet the demand for faster election results were proposed, but they were rejected by legislators who sought to restrict voter freedoms and push through policies that would ultimately have a negative impact on voters by creating unnecessary barriers to casting our ballots. This is a major win for Arizona voters, voting rights advocates, and those who believe our rights and freedoms at the ballot box should be expanded, not reduced ”
