About the Role:

All Voting is Local — a collaborative campaign housed at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights — fights to eliminate needless and discriminatory barriers to voting before they happen, to build a democracy that works for us all.

All Voting is Local (AVL) seeks current students at Central State University and Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio, to serve as an on-campus Organizer for the 2021-2022 school year. The CSWU Votes campaign aims to remedy barriers to the ballot facing students at Central State University and Wilberforce University.

Student organizers should have a positive and active presence on campus and demonstrate a clear passion and commitment to civil rights, voting, and social justice.

What You Will Do:

  • Help to develop educational and engaging campaign events
  • Attend bi-weekly team meetings
  • Promote CSWU votes events through social media, literature distribution, word of mouth, and other strategies
  • Meet and work with campus administrators

CSWU Votes Organizers will be required to fulfill an orientation training by All Voting is Local and will have the opportunity to attend additional trainings produced by partners if desired.

What You Will Bring:

  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment
  • Thinks creatively and find solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

What We Offer:

All Voting is Local will support Student Organizers by conducting individual check-ins and being available for constant support. Student Organizers should expect to dedicate approximately 5-10 hours per week toward the campaign, working collaboratively with their fellow organizers, and will receive a $600 stipend per academic semester.

To apply, please send your resume and cover letter with the headline “CSWU Votes Organizer” to resumes@allvotingislocal.org. Cover letters are required and should be attached.
