CNN: Arizona Republicans propose giving lawmakers — not election officials — final review of election results
"This policy is driven by lies and it disenfranchises voters. It's time to silence the people. Because the people were heard in November and some people don't like what they heard," Alex Gulotta from All Voting is Local Arizona said in an interview with CNN. "It really is the tyranny of ignorance. A subset of people who are so concerned with maintaining their power they are willing to do anything, and part of it is to continue this falsehood about our elections," he added.

Alex Gulotta, state director for All Voting is Local, said there’s no factual basis for the proposal. Instead, he said, it “helps perpetuate the big lie” that the 2020 election was somehow stolen. Fair Fight has joined with other voting rights groups, including All Voting is Local, in forming the Election Protection Coalition to continue to organize support against the Republican-backed bills. Aklima Khondoker, the Georgia state director for All Voting is Local, said there has been no evidence of the fraud these bills are purported to address. “The most concerning part is that these bills appear to all be politically motivated, as opposed to being motivated by making the process of voting easier for voters and more beneficial for election workers. What these bills will do is suppress voter access and depress turnout,” Khondoker said.
