Arizona, Maricopa County has record voter turnout for primary election

PHOENIX – Despite 62 polling locations in Maricopa County that were not open on time on election day, Arizona saw the largest voter turnout than any other primary in the state’s history. Nearly 1.2 million Arizonans cast a ballot, which is about 33 percent of the state’s registered voters, according to the official election canvas.

Federal court orders 32 Florida counties to print sample ballots in Spanish

TALLAHASSEE - A federal judge Friday required elections officials in 32 counties to provide Spanish-language sample ballots for the November general election — but said there wasn’t enough time to order more far-reaching steps to help Puerto Ricans eligible to vote in Florida.
