On Friday, Secretary of State Frank LaRose plans to purge 235,000 voters’ registrations -- despite urging from advocates to hold off because of errors in multiple counties that have led to eligible voters wrongly placed on the purge list.

COLUMBUS--On Thursday, August 15 at 10 a.m, Ohio voting rights organizations will hold a press conference urging Secretary of State Frank LaRose to halt the state’s planned September 6 voter purge. LaRose announced recently that nearly 1,300 voters were wrongly added to the voter purge list, with errors found in four of Ohio’s 88 counties so far.
