Hinchey is a lifelong Pennsylvania organizer. She has spent the last 15 years working within organizations and campaigns to build power, deeply rooted in using movement tactics and skills to create change and protect democracy in her home state.

Before her time at All Voting is Local, Hinchey served as the executive director of BetterPA and worked with allies in the 2021 PA redistricting process to end prison gerrymandering and get Pennsylvania a set of fair redistricting maps for the first time in 30 years. In 2020, she also served as director of Vote Today Philly at Working Families Party and was the lead organizer for Count Every Vote in Philadelphia, the citywide coordinated coalition that pushed back on attempts to disrupt the vote counting in Philadelphia to alter the outcome of the presidential election. Before those life-changing experiences, Hinchey campaign managed and consulted for progressive candidates for office, with a specific focus on movement candidates who started out as community organizers.

Hinchey is a proud graduate of Temple University’s political science department. She has spent all her days since then learning new skills and tactics that help her fight for the world she wants to live in.
