Kelly Brewington is All Voting is Local’s Managing Director of Communications.
Prior to joining the organization, Brewington was the communications director for the Office of Congressional Ethics, the nation’s first-ever ethics enforcer in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she oversaw all strategic communications to support the office’s mission to increase transparency and accountability in the House.
Before her time on the Hill, Brewington was a senior media relations manager at AARP, specializing in health care. She came to the communications field after a 13-year career as an award-winning journalist at The Baltimore Sun and the Orlando Sentinel. From the Maryland legislature to New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, Brewington’s journalism experience includes in-depth coverage on race, civil rights, voting system problems in Maryland, and coverage of the national office of the NAACP.
A native New Yorker, Brewington graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications.
