Detroit Free Press: Oakland County voters to receive prepaid return envelopes with absentee ballots in fall

"If our second largest county—with nearly one million registered voters—can agree to provide prepaid return postage on mailed ballots, other jurisdictions in Michigan must do the same. Voting by mail should not be a privilege for only those who can afford it, particularly amid a pandemic," Aghogho Edevbie, state director for advocacy for the organization All Voting is Local, said in a news release.

Detroit Free Press: Michigan health experts urge voting absentee to reduce coronavirus risk on Election Day

Detroit Free Press: Big changes could be coming to Michigan’s election process

Aghogho Edevbie, the Michigan director of the voter advocacy organization All Voting is Local, said Michigan’s election law should accommodate the expectation voters have that they will know the winners of an election on election night. "When the results take a while, people don’t like that and the Legislature has to adjust to it," he said. TALLAHASSEE - All Voting is Local Florida and Daniel A. Smith, professor of political science at the University of Florida, today released Casting, Rejecting, and Curing Vote-by-Mail Ballots in Florida’s 2020 General Election.
