Good news for Miami-Dade voters who don't want to wait in line -- an early voting site will be stationed at Florida International University.
Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Gimenez announced the move on Wednesday.
"What we hope to accomplish is for those residents, students that may not have a car, it will be easier for them to vote, but to also make sure that particular location is accessible to all voters," Gimenez said.
Some students at FIU who plan to vote in the upcoming election won't have to go far to cast a ballot early.
"I feel like it's pretty convenient for us students to get out here and have a voice and opinion," FIU student Kristian Chisholm said.
But some students have concerns.
"It might be a little inconvenient because there's already a lot of trouble with parking," said Aaron James, who commutes to FIU.

Analysis from Democratic data firm Target Smart shows registration rates for voters ages 18 to 29 have significantly increased in key battleground states like Florida since the Parkland shooting.
Many students here ready to exercise their right to vote.
"Yeah, I do early voting," said FIU student Arielle James. "Because if I do regular voting, it's long lines and I don’t have time. I’m a student and I work."
Early voting begins Oct. 22 and lasts until Nov. 4.
