Rebecca Mears is All Voting’s Compliance Counsel.

Mears is an attorney who specializes in voting rights, campaign finance, lobbying, nonprofit
compliance, and election law at the federal, state, and local level.


Prior to joining All Voting is Local, Mears was a political law attorney at Elias Law Group and
Perkins Coie where she provided legal counsel to elected officials, candidates, political
committees, and nonprofit organizations.


Mears also brings a deep understanding of policy to this role, having previously served as
director of the democracy team at the Center for American Progress where she led policy work
on election-related issues.


Mears earned her law degree from Stanford Law School, master’s degree in public
administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, and bachelor’s in political science and public
policy from Brown University where she graduated magna cum laude.
