TALLAHASSEE — All Voting is Local Action sent a letter today to Florida Secretary of State Cord Byrd asking for Spanish translations of statewide materials, as required by the Voting Rights Act. The letter asked for Spanish translations of Florida’s 2024 voter guide and other statewide voting materials in time for this year’s primary and general elections.
Critical materials such as the 2024 voter guide are currently only available in English even though Florida has already held a statewide election this year.
“With the statewide Presidential Preference Primary already completed and voting well underway for many municipal elections across the state, the lack of a guide translated into Spanish is harmful to Florida voters whose primary language is Spanish,” the letter reads.
