Arizona Officials Must Implement Election Crisis Measures, Efforts to Inform Voters

With election officials making voting changes amid concerns about coronavirus, All Voting is Local, Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, and Campaign Legal Center are urging Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and Attorney General Mark Brnovich to create and make public a statewide crisis action plan for the Presidential Preference Election on Tuesday, March 17 by extending early voting, and notifying voters directly of changes in their polling places through television ads and public service announcements. In addition, advocates will inform voters of polling place changes and continue to support voters experiencing polling place problems through the nonpartisan voter hotline, 866-OUR-VOTE.

Florida Officials Must Extend Early Voting, Vote by Mail Deadlines Amid Coronavirus Concerns

Amid growing concerns about coronavirus ahead of the March 17 primary, All Voting is Local, Common Cause Florida, Election Protection and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law urge Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Secretary of State Laurel M. Lee to extend the days and hours of early voting, extend the vote by mail deadline, open additional vote centers in all counties on Election Day, and use emergency funds to notify voters directly of any voting changes.
