How to vote by mail in Florida
Attention Florida voters: If you would like to have a vote-by-mail ballot mailed to you for elections taking place between January 1, 2025 and December 31, 2026, you must submit a vote-by-mail request.
This applies to all voters, even if you voted by mail in the 2024 General Election.
The deadline to request a mail ballot for an election is 5 p.m. on the 12th day before election day. One request remains valid for all elections during this two-year election cycle; you will not need to submit a request for each election.
Requests are processed through the Supervisor of Elections Office (SOE) of the county in which you are registered to vote. To submit your request, click on your county below.
You can also download a vote-by-mail request form and return it to your SOE. The forms are available in English, Español, and Kreyòl.
If you need assistance obtaining a Florida ID or driver’s license, contact VoteRiders at 1-866-ID-2-VOTE / 1-866-432-8683.
Head’s up:
If you renewed or replaced your Florida driver’s license or state ID on or after July 31, 2024, your ID number has likely changed, even if the picture looks the same. This could present a problem when submitting a vote-by-mail request online, because the new number might not match your existing record. To avoid any issues when voting, you should update your ID information with your county’s Supervisor of Elections (SOE) office.
