With a background in community organizing, peace building, and international human rights, Nassef’s work has taken him from Cairo, Egypt, as an analyst of the democracy movement on the ground with Fair Observer to Geneva, Switzerland, where he spent several months at the U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

Prior to joining All Voting, Nassef served as an advocate for various environmental and civil rights initiatives, notably with MoveOn, the Sunrise Movement, and CAIR-Philadelphia. Nassef also led organizing trainings in Ohio for the Poor People’s Campaign and spearheaded  outreach efforts with Arab and Muslim American communities in Pennslyvania for the Bernie Sanders 2016 presidential campaign.

Nassef holds a bachelor’s degree in Middle East studies and political science from The George Washington University.
