Melissa Grigsby
Melissa Grigsby is All Voting is Local’s Executive Vice President of Communications.
Most recently, Grigsby served as the Director of Communications and Media Relations for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. In her role, she was responsible for the positioning, strategic direction, and execution of external communications for outreach to the media, the public, advocates, patients, legislators, donors, and other external constituents. Grigsby has led award-winning communication campaigns, most notably a crisis communications campaign surrounding Dobbs v. Jackson and its potential impact on infertility and other reproductive health care.
Grigsby is a tactical and strategic communications leader with over 12 years of experience, specifically within the nonprofit sector, and has a passion for working with mission-based organizations.
She received her B.A. in communications from Wake Forest University (2003), where she also played on the women’s basketball team, and her M.S. from the University of Maryland (2016). Grigsby is originally from Maryland but now resides in northern Virginia with her wife and young son.
