Rebecca Mears is All Voting’s compliance counsel.

Mears is an attorney who specializes in voting rights, campaign finance, lobbying, nonprofit compliance and election law at the federal, state and local levels.

Prior to joining All Voting Is Local, she was a political law attorney at Elias Law Group and Perkins Coie, providing legal counsel to elected officials, candidates, political committees and nonprofit organizations.

Mears also brings a deep understanding of policy to her role, having served as director of the democracy team at the Center for American Progress, where she led policy work on election-related issues.

She earned her law degree from Stanford Law School, a master’s degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a bachelor’s in political science and public policy from Brown University, graduating magna cum laude.
