Stephen David is All Voting is Local’s Ohio State Director.

Steve David is a licensed social worker and lifelong Ohioan whose career has focused on democratic engagement and anti-violence organizing.
Most recently, Steve served as the Ohio Lead for the Bridging Divides Initiative, an applied research lab at Princeton University working to track and mitigate political violence. Here he provided partners with regular updates on political violence trends and data, monitored actors of concern, and helped found the Ohio Early Warning Table to coordinate rapid response to threats  across the state.

As the first Advocacy Director at the Ohio State University College of Social Work, Steve designed nonpartisan voter engagement programming for students and human service agencies, including the CSW Democracy Fellowship and hosted the Democracy Promise Unconference. 

While at Ohio State Steve was also a member of the steering committee of the Columbus CARE Coalition at Columbus Public Health, a cross-sector coalition that works to address trauma and community violence by building neighborhood resilience. During this time he also cofounded the Columbus Safety Collective, an advocacy coalition that launched a ballot campaign to create a non-police emergency response system for the city of Columbus.

Steve loves making zines and exploring the city and local park system with his family.
