She most recently held the position of deputy education director for Rural Arizona Engagement/Rural Arizona Action, where her dedication to educational empowerment shone brightly.

Tearanie also served as the out-of-state regional organizing director for Arizona’s Democratic Coordinated Campaign, contributing her strategic prowess to the cause.

Before these roles, Tearanie made an indelible mark as a middle and high school educator for over a decade, shaping young minds in both rural and urban environments. Her commitment to education transcended borders, as she proudly provided educational services to deployed U.S. service members overseas in Germany, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Qatar.

Tearanie earned her B.A. in social science education from Jackson State University in 2009, a testament to her passion for learning and teaching. Originally hailing from Gary, IN, she now calls Gilbert, AZ home, where she resides with her beloved son.
