WHAT: On Thursday, July 2, at 7:30 p.m. EST, All Voting is Local Florida and advocates from Alianza for Progress, The League of Women Voters of Florida, New Florida Majority, and ACLU of Florida will host a nonpartisan telephone town hall to break down the myths and misconceptions about voting by mail. Although Florida does not require an excuse to request and submit a vote by mail ballot, the COVID-19 pandemic heightens the necessity for Floridians to safely and securely participate in our representative democracy.

The town hall will be moderated by Trimmel Gomes, president of Gomes Media Strategies and host of The Rotunda; a weekly public affairs podcast about the people and issues shaping Florida politics.

WHO:

Brad Ashwell, Florida state director, All Voting is Local Florida
Marcos Vilar, executive director and founder, Alianza for Progress
Patricia Brigham, president, League of Women Voters of Florida
Moné Holder, senior program director of Policy, Advocacy and Research, New Florida Majority
Sam Coodley, statewide voting rights coordinator, ACLU of Florida

WHEN:  Thursday, July 2, at 7:30 p.m. EST

WHERE: (540) 409-4375 Ext.62790#
