CINCINNATI, OHIO — All Voting is Local Ohio today announced the launch of a five-figure ad campaign to recruit 100 Democratic and Republican poll workers in Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, and Lucas counties ahead of Election Day. The campaign is deployed in partnership with Power the Polls, NAACP, and National Association of Social Workers.

All Voting is Local Ohio will especially seek to increase diversity among poll workers, by recruiting young and ESL (English as a Second Language) people who are underrepresented in our democracy. The social media and print ads will highlight the importance of representation in our elections, the compensation offered by Boards of Election to poll workers in Ohio, and the COVID safety measures in place to protect workers and voters. Poll workers can sign up at: https://www.powerthepolls.org/AVIL

“A successful and safe election where everyone has easy access to the ballot must have capable, efficient poll workers who reflect the communities they serve at polling locations,” said Greer Aeschbury, Ohio Campaign Manager for All Voting is Local. “We’re stepping in with our partners not only to shore up recruitment efforts for this cycle but to build a bench of young and diverse poll workers who will help run our elections for years to come.”
