WASHINGTON–All Voting is Local welcomed Brad Ashwell as Florida State Director.

“We are excited to have Brad join the All Voting is Local team as we fight to protect and expand the right to vote in Florida,” said Hannah Fried, All Voting is Local National Campaign Director.  “Our work in Florida to improve how elections are run is urgent and we are pleased to have Brad join us as we strive to build a democracy where every voice is heard.”

Brad Ashwell has more than fifteen years of state and federal legislative experience with non-profit advocacy groups working to improve election administration systems and voter access. Immediately prior to joining All Voting is Local, Ashwell worked as a research associate with Integrity Florida. He has also worked in Tallahassee as the legislative director for the Florida Alliance for Consumer Protection, state policy director for the State Voices Florida Civic Engagement Table and state director at Florida Public Interest Research Group. He graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Social Science.

Ashwell will be based in Florida, joining All Voting is Local’s team working on the ground in key states facing distinct assaults on voting rights: Arizona, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The All Voting is Local campaign works to monitor, expose and prevent actions that suppress the right to vote for Americans historically silenced at the ballot box to achieve a democracy that works for us all.
