WASHINGTON, D.C. – All Voting is Local is proud to announce, today, that its Executive Director, Hannah Fried, has been named to the 2025 TIME100 Next in recognition for her advocacy and prominent leadership in driving meaningful change to prevent interference in our elections, advance fair and inclusive rules on voter registration, and remove barriers that make it more difficult for people to vote – particularly Black, Brown, Native American, and other historically excluded communities.
An expansion of the TIME100 list of the most influential people in the world, TIME100 Next highlights 100 emerging leaders who are shaping the future of business, entertainment, sports, politics, health, science, activism, and more. This nationally recognized list was first published in 2019, and honorees are typically grouped into categories, such as artists, phenoms, innovators, advocates, and leaders.
“Being named to TIME100 Next is a high honor that comes with both gratitude and great responsibility to continue the hard work of fighting to preserve free and fair elections,” said All Voting is Local Executive Director Hannah Fried. “At a time when attacks against voters are rampant and there are connected, strategic efforts to undermine our elections and silence voters – particularly Black, Brown, Native American, and historically excluded communities – this honor presents a moment for me, and my organization, to double down on our commitment to ensuring that every American can make their voice heard at the ballot box.”
“This recognition is a testament to the power of All Voting’s nonpartisan commitment to build a democracy that invites people in and to defend free and fair elections as the foundation of preserving all other rights. The 2026 election isn’t in the distant future – it’s already underway: every day, week, month, and year, local election officials, secretaries of state, and lawmakers make decisions that impact voters’ access to the ballot. That’s why All Voting is Local is present year-round on the ground in eight states, calling on these officials to adopt policies and practices that ensure it’s the American people who choose their leaders, not the other way around. I’m so proud to be in solidarity with so many inspiring changemakers who are pushing boundaries and building a more inclusive future for America and the world,” said Fried.
The full list and related tributes appear in the October 13, 2025, issue, available on newsstands on Friday, October 3, and now at time.com/next.
