MADISON, Wis. — All Voting is Local Wisconsin is hosting an event to introduce a series of election bills at the state Capitol on Wednesday. The event will feature Wisconsin State Representatives Scott Krug and Lee Snodgrass, who will be unveiling two distinct legislative solutions addressing voter education, ballot accessibility, and election administration. The state legislators will be joined by prominent Badger State election officials to discuss how the bills could break down barriers for voters while making certain processes easier for our clerks and election administrators.
Among other benefits offered, the proposed legislation would increase accessibility and security, increase voter education and awareness, modernize election infrastructure, allow for absentee ballots to be processed on the Monday before Election Day to reduce counting delays, and create uniform guidelines for secure ballot drop boxes across the state. The bill packages will be introduced on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. CT in the state Capitol’s Assembly Parlor Room.
