BROOKFIELD, Wisc. — All Voting is Local Wisconsin and partners are hosting an event Tuesday to support the use of drop boxes in Brookfield and across the Badger State. Following the state Supreme Court ruling earlier this year that restored the use of drop boxes but did not require it, it is critical for municipalities and their clerks to be aware of the benefits that drop boxes offer voters.

Voting rights activists and the alderman for the city of Brookfield will speak on why drop boxes are a secure and popular option for voters and will combat misinformation surrounding their use. Those discouraging the use of ballot drop boxes are using lies and conspiracy theories to limit voter access and silence Wisconsinites’ voices. In 2020, 66 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties used ballot drop boxes without any problems.
