MADISON, Wis. – Today, All Voting is Local named Wisconsin Elections Commissioner Bob Spindell the most dangerous election denier in Wisconsin as part of its list of the country’s top 10 worst election deniers. The list is a record of the nation’s top 10 federal, state and local election deniers who currently hold positions of power and could use this power to keep eligible voters from voting and to block their votes from being counted—all within the larger context of President Donald Trump’s increasingly bold, brazen, and deceitful attempts to claim greater power and control election outcomes before voters even head to the polls. In response, All Voting is Local Wisconsin State Director Samuel Liebert issued the following statement:

“Given his history, Bob Spindell is a liability to voters and should have no say in how our elections in Wisconsin are run, especially in this climate and as the midterms near. Election officials who try to silence voters must be held accountable, or else we risk voters losing faith in the process. Spindell presents a threat to our elections in Wisconsin and must be removed from his place on the state elections commission so that voters in the Badger State can have confidence their voices will be heard this year.”

Background on Bob Spindell:
In an attempt to overturn certified election results, Spindell was one of Wisconsin’s 10 fake electors who signed documents in December 2020, falsely claiming that then-candidate Trump had won Wisconsin in the 2020 general election. He continues to serve on the Wisconsin Elections Commission despite this attempt to overturn election results and his previous remarks that the Wisconsin GOP “can be especially proud” of a decrease in Black and Brown voters in the 2022 midterms.
