ATLANTA – All Voting is Local Georgia State Director Kristin Nabers issued the following statement in response to the Department of Justice’s lawsuit filed Friday against Georgia’s Fulton County for voting records from the 2020 election:

“This administration’s unending obsession with the 2020 election results in Georgia uses outright lies to compensate for the fact that they lost. By doing President Trump’s bidding, the Department of Justice is attacking the very notion of free elections in this country, demanding to see ballots from Fulton County because their candidate didn’t win there half a decade ago.

“With this terrible overstep of power, the DOJ is now weaponizing laws meant to protect voters for their political vendetta. It is an incredible disservice to the election workers and voters of Fulton County who have had to endure this circus time after time. This bogus lawsuit will not go far, as Fulton County has repeatedly shown that the 2020 election results were legitimate. The county will continue to prove that point for as long as election deniers want to keep this conspiracy theory going.”
