Carson City, NV — Governor Lombardo signed SB 421 into law last night. Upon implementation, this bill will make important changes to increase voter access in Nevada’s Tribal Nations by guaranteeing adequate staff and requiring training that is either virtual or on Tribal land. In response, All Voting is Local Senior Campaign Manager Jennifer Willett issued the following statement:

“We are extremely pleased that Governor Lombardo signed SB 421 into law, a bill that affirms the rights of Nevada’s Tribal Nations to fully participate in our state’s elections. No longer will elections on Tribal land be understaffed or Tribal poll workers be forced to drive hours away to attend the nearest training. The health of Nevada’s democracy depends on all residents having the ability to make their voices heard, and with Tribal members now enjoying the same benefits afforded to other Nevada voters, the efficiency and accessibility of our elections just took a major step forward.”
