JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Duval County Supervisor of Elections Office, along with All Voting is Local and its partners, will host a press conference on Monday, Oct. 19, to highlight new early voting hours and sites in Jacksonville. The mayor’s office will also discuss a new, free parking option for voters.

The two early voting sites, one on the campus of Edward Waters University and the other at the Dallas James Graham Branch Library, are in predominantly Black neighborhoods and are key to expanding voter access in Jacksonville. The supervisor of elections and activists fought over the past few years to ensure these communities had in-person early voting.

The press conference is one day before early voting starts in Duval County and the first day of optional in-person early voting in Florida. It will be held in front of the Duval County Supervisor of Elections Office in downtown Jacksonville, where free parking will be offered during the early voting period and on Election Day.
