PHILADELPHIA — In partnership with local voting rights and advocacy groups, All Voting is Local Pennsylvania will host a panel discussion on Thursday, January 6 at 12 p.m. ET in Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center. The event will be open to attendees virtually. On the first anniversary after the storming of the U.S. Capitol by anti-democracy insurrectionists, this discussion will focus on ways we can stop bad actors from continuing their deliberate disinformation campaign to attack our freedom to vote.
The day serves as a reminder that there are people and lawmakers in this country who are working every day to overturn the will of the people. The same faction that attacked our country one year ago hopes to divide and distract us, while they pass laws to silence our voices and give themselves more power. To prevent this kind of attack from happening again, we must come together and ensure our elected leaders pass urgent legislation that will protect this country from anti-democratic forces who are continuing their efforts to destroy it.
