Bigirindavyi’s journey into politics began in 2016 when she attended a voter suppression town hall meeting. This inspired her to work on several statewide elections in Minnesota. Later she became the Coalitions Director for the Minnesota Democratic Party, where she was charged with building relationships with community leaders. She focused her efforts on addressing communities’ specific needs and ensuring the integration of all communities in the political framework.

As voter suppression attempts continued to rise, Bigirindavyi recognized the need to expand her efforts beyond Minnesota. She landed the role as Deputy Voter Protection Director for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party in 2022. She coordinated efforts to ensure Pennsylvania elections were fair and accessible for all voters.

She is driven to advance the principles of democracy, protect voting rights, and ensure all communities (particularly marginalized and underrepresented communities) have a voice in the political landscape.
