COCHISE, Arizona — Cochise County Recorder David Stevens stated his intention to proceed with a 100% hand-count despite court order blocking hand-counting. All Voting Is Local Arizona State Director Alex Gulotta responded with the following statement: 

“This is a flagrant disregard for the election process, court orders, and the rule of law. This is a clear effort to seize power from Cochise voters at the expense of a fair and accurate election process. These actions from Cochise County officials would violate the most recent court decision, the Elections Procedures Manual, and Arizona state law. Cochise County officials must be held accountable for their actions. Machine tabulation must be allowed to continue uninterrupted and the expanded hand-count must stop.”
